Corporate Staff

Mr. Carl LaPlante, President, has over 35 years experience in software and information systems analysis. With Sierra since 1981, he is responsible for all software and systems development business activities. He has consulted to federal, city, and commercial clients on projects as diverse as providing data processing software and MIS facility management for Marine Corps systems, MIS analyses to Abu Dhabi National Oil Company for a Records Management System, and management of the San Francisco Building Inspection Workflow Automation System. He holds a BS degree in Mathematics from Stanford University.
Mr. George Rodriguez is Vice-President of Sierra’s Information Technology Division.. He has over 30 years of experience in the Information Technology and Engineering Services industries in managing professionals. His specific areas of experience include government clients that require software engineering (computer scientists and IT specialists), with many of the latest skills and extensive database knowledge. George has current oversight in managing all of our IT projects. Mr. Rodriguez is a retired Army communications officer, an Engineering graduate of the United States Military Academy, and holds an MSEE from New Mexico State University.
Ms. Pam Giandalia, is Sierra’s Office Manager and provides administration support to all staff members.  She has over 35 years of accounting, financial, auditing and administration experience.  She has served as a manager and business analyst over most of her career.  She has consulted for clients on accounting matters, and participated in computerizing manual accounting systems. She has been with Sierra since 2017 where she oversees all corporate financial activities and provides senior administrative work that includes the typing and editing of technical documentation, monthly status reports, proposals, manuals, correspondence, billing, payroll, insurance, and government forms.
Mr. Jose Corona leads Sierra’s internal IT department. He has over twenty years of systems analysis, programming, website, and network experience, including skills in implementation and training. He has been certified with Kofax document and image capture and processing products, training Sierra clients at various Southern California locations. He serves as Sierra’s primary Help Desk Analyst for PC applications software and IT infrastructure maintenance. Jose has customized client SharePoint sites and is implementing the MK-92/MK-75 Maintenance Advisor Expert System (MAES) for Port Hueneme’s Naval Surface Warfare Center. He holds a BS in Computer Information Systems from DeVry Institute of Technology.
